I've followed a winding path into garden design, each twist and turn adding invaluable experience and knowledge that I now find indispensable.
Leaving school at sixteen, I worked on a plant nursery, as a gardener, and as a builder. While enjoyable, these jobs were precarious and poorly paid. Relocating to London, I retrained and forged a career in the creative industries. For two decades, I've worked across animation, film, and design, earning amongst other awards two prestigious D&AD’s and the honour of being invited to become a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
This unique journey has not only been enriching but also provided a solid foundation in landscaping and horticulture. My career in the creative industries isn't just a chapter in my story; it's an integral part of how I approach garden design.
In my spare time, I'm either out in the countryside bug hunting and pond dippping with my kids and our border terrier Bagel or I'm in the garden experimenting with planting combinations, propagating seeds and reading gardening books (yes, I'm obsessed)
Join me on this journey where creativity meets horticulture, and let's craft a garden narrative that speaks to your vision.
